Our Cattle Dog Likes To Herd. Go Figure!

This is Cali chasing around her friend, Angel, at the Dog Park. They are the perfect pair. Angel loves to be chased and Cali loves to chase.

It's in the 70's; let's go snowboarding!

The last weekend of March we went up to Big Bear for some snowboarding. Tuesday of that week, the area had 12 inches of snowfall. It was too good to resist.

It was over 70 degrees when we went. It was actually a little too warm for our comfort. We were both sweating . . . a lot.

Because of the warm weather, some areas of the mountain were slow going. The edges, however, were nice and slippery. Brittany learned first hand that if you get too close to the edge, it's pretty hard to stop.

Everyone, Cali. Cali, Everyone.

On Saturday, we adopted Cali from the Los Angeles Animal Shelter. She was very happy to find a home. Her favorite activities include going to the dog park, riding in the car, playing with her squeaky toys and chasing the cats.

Cali is a 6 month old Australian Cattle Dog. Her coloring is called "Blue Merle". The white blaze on her forehead is called a "Bentley Mark".

Australian Cattle Dogs are extremely intelligent. Cali is no exception. She has already learned three commands: sit, lay-down and shake.
