Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park, I

For the Memorial Day Weekend, we went to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park.


The largest known living thing on Earth, the General Sherman Tree, is also one of the oldest living things in the world, estimated to be more than 3,500 years of age.


These trees are gigantic. We were unable to fit any one tree entirely within the frame of our camera. Even when we tried, the photos didn't do the giants justice.




We drove our car through one (sort of). Look how tiny our 3,200 lb. car looks.

Ashes, Ashes, We all fall down.

You may have heard about a little fire in Griffith Park.

What can we say? We like parks.

Walnut Creek Wilderness Park is another place we like to hike and walk the dog.




One day as we were walking, a peacock emerged from the woods.

The Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park is located in San Dimas. It contains a 250 acre lake.





Cali likes to play fetch in the water.

Playgrounds aren't just for humans anymore.

Turns out, Cali likes to go down slides.

Without Demand, What Good Is Supply?

It recently occurred to us, what good is recycling paper if we don't buy recycled products?

We now purchase 100% recycled paper products including paper towels, napkins, tissues, etc.

We've also switched to environmentally friendly dishwasher and laundry detergent as well as household cleaner.

We even purchased biodegradable dog waste bags for cleaning up after Cali.

Aren't we good doobies?
